A unified journey – finding wellness in supportive surrounds
As a regional practice, Zenkai has a commitment to providing accessible support and superior treatment to the wider community, in the pursuit of wellness and particularly in the journey to pregnancy and beyond.
Dr Danielle Slade (registered acupuncturist) is the driving force behind innovative community based health initiatives.
Currently of note is the development of a network of local practitioners and businesses,
dedicated to defining the Macedon Ranges as Victoria’s ‘Wellness Destination’. In the pursuit of establishing an accessible health services network, where practitioners cooperate to achieve optimal patient wellness results for their patients. Not only will this enhance services available to Macedon Ranges locals, but also draw people to the region for a ‘Wellness Experience’ which will benefit local businesses on the whole. The initiative will establish a unity and circle of respect across the region, encouraging awareness in local health professionals, enabling informed referrals to complimentary health services to achieve great health for each patient.
Dr Dan’s holistic health view has prompted her to develop a nutritional support program, which is currently being trialled by a local Macedon Ranges business. This program empowers shoppers by providing quick access knowledge, supporting healthy choices when selecting groceries. The system presents colour coded stickers on grocery and food products with enhanced health benefits.
Dr Dan’s community activities also include nutritional health based programs which are run in collaboration with local business, provide health based supporting products, speaking presentations at local events, mentoring and local business partnerships.
On a broader note, Dr Dan instills a sustainable ethic across not only her approach to life but also the Zenkai practice.
She has employed a long list of environmentally sustainable measures to ensure the Zenkai contributes to the surrounding environment, her initiatives include:
Products are sent in biodegradable packaging and herbal preparations are 100% recyclable.
